BeautifulStore Dongdaemun’s 11th Anniversary Celebrations

The Dongdaemun branch of BeautifulStore celebrated its 11th year anniversary on November 26. Between October 23 and November 20, 104 employees from Samyang donated 1,240 products and 320 Homemade mixs for a charity drive. Notably, Min-yeong Lee (Manager, EMS BU Strategic Business Team) donated a whopping 95 articles of clothing and was selected as the most charitable individual donor from Samyang Group. The proceeds of the sale will be used to assist the underprivileged.

Approximately 30 people participated in the event, including volunteers from Dongdaemun’s BeautifulStore, Fruits of Love, the Dongdaemun District Office, and representatives from the Korea Association of Social Welfare Centers in Dongdaemun. The celebrations began with a string quartet performance by the Korea Mecenat Association and continued with an 11th anniversary statement, the introduction of guests, cake cutting, and appreciation plaque presentations.

The Dongdaemun branch of BeautifulStore opened its doors in 2003 through generous donations from the Samyang Group towards the opening costs, including rent and interior renovations. The store has since grown steadily and in 2012 its annual sales were \400 million - the fifth highest of all the BeautifulStores in Korea that year.
