Meanwhile, the Sudang Award, which marked the 26th anniversary this year, was launched by commemorating and giving recognition to Samyang Group Founder Kim Yeon-su’s deed of giving back to the nation through a successful business and fostering human resources. The award was revised as Sudang Science Award in 1974. Since then, it has been arranged by Kyungbang HR Fostering Association until the 14th award ceremony. In 2006, Sudang Foundation started to resume the hosting of the ceremony, encouraging people by awarding those who have established outstanding contributions in the areas of natural sciences, applied sciences, and humanities.
